After an emotional roller coaster of a weekend, 15U Intensity proved what a true TEAM can accomplish by sticking together, and walked away with a hard-earned, well deserved D1T2 Gold medal!  After an extremely tough draw Friday, and a disappointing tiebreak Saturday, the girls had to scratch and claw for every single point on Championship Sunday!

With a strong contribution from each and every player on the team, the girls went 3-0 Sunday and found themselves in the finals.  LVC followed the lead of setter, Shelby Moodie, who played almost flawlessly on Sunday, and took the first set convincingly, but got off to a slow start in the second set which went to the opponents.  With booming left side attacking from Tia Shum, and precision middle attacking from Emily Braam and Alex Connell, the girls found themselves tied in the 3rd set, 11-11.   A couple points later, at 13-12 for LVC, Chloe Shum stepped up with a huge block that put LVC up 2!  A solid dig, great set, and yet another great attack by captain Maddy Craig, scored the final point.  The girls collapsed to the floor in elation and fatigue.  It was an incredible performance of perseverance, heart, spirit, and team that was an honour to be a part of.

Unbelievably proud moment for all of us on 15U Intensity, and for the entire club.
